The N.Z. Sporting Life and Referee Guide to Wrestling is a scarce New Zealand sporting handbook devoted to professional and amateur wrestling during the sport’s interwar boom.

Edited by J. C. Warnes, writing as “Olympian,” this 1937 edition was printed and published in Wellington by National Magazines Ltd. Contemporary advertising describes the guide as packed with wrestling information, rules, holds and photographs, including images of leading wrestlers and demonstrations of both standard and speciality holds.
