Used paperback – Fair condition. Quite fragile but intact. The Iliad is an epic poem of ancient Greek literature. It recounts a short but crucial period during the Trojan War, centered on the wrath of the Greek warrior Achilles after Agamemnon dishonors him, causing Achilles to withdraw from battle and the Achaeans to suffer as a result. Achilles returns to rage and vengeance after the death of his companion Patroclus, culminating in his slaying of Hector and the eventual poignant return of Hector’s body to Troy.
