As winter approaches, six visitors arrive at the Moominhouse hoping to find comfort in the familiar Moomin family. Instead, they discover that the family is away, leaving this unlikely group to share the house and negotiate one another's needs, fears and habits. Quietly funny and wistful, the final Moomin novel explores friendship, loneliness, change and the difficulty of accepting people as they are. Written and illustrated by Tove Jansson, with English translation by Kingsley Hart.
