The Housekeeper's Instructor; or, Universal Family-Cook by W. A. Henderson – Seventeenth Edition

An uncommon early nineteenth-century English cookery book: The Housekeeper's Instructor; or, Universal Family-Cook by W. A. Henderson, here in the seventeenth edition, corrected, revised and considerably improved by Jacob Christopher Schnebbelie.

The work offers a wide-ranging guide to Georgian domestic cookery, including meat, poultry, game, fish, soups, hashes, made dishes, confectionery, pickling, preserving, British wines and brewing. It also incorporates The Complete Art of Carving, bills of fare, table decoration, marketing advice, culinary poisons, and management of the kitchen and fruit garden.
