Look Back in Anger by John Osborne

John Osborne’s three-act play centres on Jimmy Porter, whose anger at class divisions and post-war English society spills into his relationships with his wife Alison and the people around them. The strained domestic setting becomes a stage for frustrated hopes, resentment and vulnerability. First staged in 1956, the play became closely associated with the angry young men of British drama.
